Lazio’s Isaksen reveals conversation with Pedro about Spanish national team

Start

Ahead of Denmark’s Nations League clash with Spain on Friday night, Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen shared insights from conversations with his Spanish teammates at the Italian club. During a press conference, Isaksen disclosed an interesting exchange he had with Pedro regarding the veteran’s potential return to the Spanish national team.

“I asked Pedro if he wanted to return to the Spanish national team,” Isaksen revealed. “He replied no, thinking there are younger and stronger players now. All the Spaniards at Lazio say that Spain is an incredible team. They think Denmark will lose 5-0. But that’s because they don’t know how good we are and what we can do against big teams. I can’t wait to prove it.”

Addressing the upcoming challenge against Spain, Isaksen acknowledged the difficulty of the match while expressing confidence in Denmark’s abilities. “On paper, it’s a tough game,” the Lazio attacker stated, “but we also know how difficult it is to play against us. I think there are good opportunities to do well; there’s no reason to say it’s lost before we’ve played it.”

Isaksen emphasized the importance of team unity and a strategic approach to the game. “We’ll probably have some chances to score, but it will be difficult to keep them away from our goal. I believe it’s important for us to stay united. We need to defend with everything we have and score when we get the chance. This way, maybe we can get a result.”
