Following the match against Atalanta, manager Marco Baroni provided an update on the squad’s fitness situation, expressing uncertainty about the availability of key players for the upcoming clash against Roma.
“Who can return for the Roma game? I don’t know yet. I don’t think Vecino, Noslin, and Pedro will recover, but we’ll see. At the moment, I’m proud of the boys who show no fear in the face of difficulties,” Baroni stated.
The injury list for Lazio is significant:
– Matias Vecino is dealing with a left thigh rectus femoris strain, which is expected to sideline him for at least 45 days.
– Pedro has suffered a low-grade injury to his right thigh.
– Tijjani Noslin is nursing a moderate contusion to his right ankle.
Both Pedro and Noslin will be evaluated tomorrow when training resumes, but the outlook is not optimistic. Their absence, particularly that of the experienced Pedro, could be a significant blow for the upcoming derby.
On a more positive note, there’s hope that Manuel Lazzari, who has been dealing with calf fatigue, and Patric, who missed the Atalanta match due to fever, might be available for selection against Roma.
