Lazio are in talks to sign Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer and have reportedly sent an improved offer to his agent. The 26-year-old has been linked with both Roma and Milan already this summer, but a move to either club has failed to materialise.
The versatile midfielder has spent the last six seasons with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, winning the Europa League with them in 2022, but failed to reach an agreement on a new contract.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Lazio have become an option for Kamada after they submitted a verbal offer to him earlier today. The club are looking to find a capable replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic following his move to Al-Hilal last month.
Romano reports that Lazio have submitted an improved offer to Kamada’s agent, offering a two year deal with an option for a third, with talks progressing quickly.
There’s a suggestion that should an agreement be reached, the player could make the switch to Serie A in the coming days.
