Lazio President Lotito addresses Ultras Issue and club matters

Start

Claudio Lotito, President of Lazio, spoke to Sky before the second Europa League match against Nice, addressing several key issues facing the club.

Lotito began by emphasizing his philosophy on football, stating, “I always say that the ball is for everyone, but football is for the few.” He then defended the club’s choice of manager, asserting, “Baroni was not a random choice or one based on economics. It seems that today, the facts are proving us right.”

Addressing the recent chaos involving ultras, Lotito took a firm stance on legality. “I don’t know the facts and can’t judge, but my position has always been clear. Between legality and consensus, teams must choose the former,” he declared. The president expressed concern about illegal activities in the stands that undermine sporting values and create security and public order problems. He announced his intention to propose new legislation to address these issues, saying, “I will promote some law proposals in this regard.”

On the topic of the transfer market, Lotito explained the club’s strategy: “We based our decisions on athletic conditions and the possibilities of achieving our objectives. I hope that what has emerged in the first matches can continue.”
