Lazio are actively pursuing the prospect of acquiring Sunderland’s standout performer, Jack Clarke, in the ongoing January transfer window. The English winger, who previously featured for Premier League powerhouse Tottenham, made a move to Sunderland in 2022, currently competing in the Championship.
According to reports by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio is keen on bolstering its attacking options by adding another winger to the squad. Despite facing a setback in their pursuit of Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, Lazio have shifted their focus to the talented Clarke, who has showcased his prowess with an impressive goal tally of 13 in the current season.
Discussions between Lazio and Sunderland have already commenced, and further developments are expected to unfold in the coming days. However, it’s worth noting that Lazio is not the sole club expressing interest in Clarke. Other contenders in the race for the 23-year-old’s signature include Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Brentford.
Sunderland have reportedly set a transfer fee of €25 million for Clarke, reflecting the player’s value and the demand for his services in the market.
