Lazio have moved quickly to deny transfer reports that have linked striker Ciro Immobile with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer. The Italy international is the latest in a long line of Serie A stars who are reportedly being courted by the Saudi Leagie.
The Biancocelesti have already sold Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal this week and the latest rumours suggested that Ciro Immobile had agreed personal terms with another Saudi side.
Local journalist Turki Alghamdi reported that Al-Shabab had made an offer for the 33-year-old Italian striker of around €15m net per season with a €5m signing bonus.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito discussed the situation with Il Messaggero earlier today, saying only:
“I have not received any official offers for Immobile. He is like my son, he is not for sale. The only way to tempt me would be a €50m offer. And even for that amount I wouldn’t be sure…”
