Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero claim that Lazio are on the verge of agreeing a deal for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi. The 28-year-old has been a talisman for the Neroverdi, spending eight seasons with the club and scoring 91 goals in 249 appearances.
Il Messaggero (via TMW) report today that the Biancocelesti have practically completed the deal for Berardi, having already reached an agreement with the player.
Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly met with the clubs management in recent days to help finalise the move, and an agreement is now said to be close.
The capital club will pay Sassuolo €20 million plus Matteo Cancellieri to completed the deal, with Berardi expected to sign a four-year deal worth €2.5 million per season.
