Lazio’s pursuit of midfield reinforcements has taken a new turn as the club shifts its focus from Jacopo Fazzini to Reda Belahyane. The Roman side’s efforts to secure Fazzini have come to naught, with the Italian midfielder set to remain at Empoli for the foreseeable future.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Biancocelesti have swiftly pivoted to a new target, with negotiations for Hellas Verona’s Reda Belahyane reportedly in the final stages. The 20-year-old Moroccan midfielder has emerged as a prime candidate to bolster Lazio’s midfield options.
The deal for Belahyane is expected to be completed for a fee in the region of 9 million euros. This represents a significant investment in the young talent, who has impressed in Serie A since his arrival at Verona last year.
In addition to the Belahyane deal, Lazio are also on the verge of securing Oliver Provstgaard for approximately 4 million euros. This double swoop demonstrates the club’s commitment to strengthening its squad as they push for European qualification.
