Former Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi shared an emotional and touching dedication to the team after their Serie A title win. The 38-year-old made his name in Naples, spending five seasons with the Partenopei and scoring 48 goals in 188 appearances before making a big money move to PSG.
Writing on his Instagram account, the Argentine sent a heartfelt message to his former team after they were crowned Serie A champions for the first time in 33 years:
“I would like to tell you with this message that although I was not part of this moment, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart, all the people who today form part of what happened. I feel a duty to thank the people who made a dream a reality … that make the Neapolitan people proud and happy. You deserve to celebrate and honor the people who gave genuine happiness, through football. I thank the club and everyone who is a part of this moment and tell you that I am more than grateful that when it was my turn to play by representing Napoli, I tried to always honor the club and the city by standing tall. I will always carry you in my heart … now celebrate and give love to the players let this be a reality for the history of the club and a city full of passion.”
