Lautaro Martinez’s agent seemingly confirmed that his client has agreed a contract renewal with Inter, following weeks of negotiations. There was a suggestion that the two parties were deadlocked recently, suggesting that the renewal may not be as straightforward as expected.
Agent Alejandro Camano was pictured leaving the Inter headquarters this afternoon and he spoke to Sky Sport Italia as he left, confirming that a contract renewal is done:
“Inter and Lautaro will decide when the moment is right, but the club will be the one to announce it,” said Camano.
“I work for the player and his decision is always very important.”
With Nicolo Barella’s renewal finalized (contract until 2029), Inter’s management are also working on extending the contract of coach Simone Inzaghi. On Wednesday, June 12, another meeting took place with Inzaghi’s agent, Tullio Tinti, and there is optimism from both sides.
