The agent of Lautaro Martinez confirmed that he is still in talks with Inter over a contract extension for the Argentine striker. A deal is expected to confirmed very soon, with some reports from Italy suggesting that the Nerazzurri are keen to have everything sewn up by January, while Lautaro has also addressed the rumours.
Speaking with Numero Diez, agent Alejandro Camaño confirmed that talks are still ongoing and are aided by the excellent relationship between all parties:
“Meeting in the next few days or weeks? I cannot give you this information specifically, because we are talking every day with Inter.
“I can tell you that we have a spectacular relationship with the club. I have been in a relationship with the Nerazzurri for years, because I am Hector Cúper’s agent and so throughout my life I have spoken a lot with Inter.
“Now I have a wonderful relationship with the whole management. Lautaro Martinez is very happy to be in Milan but, for now, we have appointments, we talk about everything, the relationship is very lively. But I can’t say ‘tomorrow I go’, because for now we are talking day by day and things are going well. What I can tell you for now is this: Lautaro is very happy and we must work so that Lautaro’s future is linked to that of Inter. But for now, calmness’.
“Lautaro is 26 years old and is in a moment of great happiness. He has had his second child. He has a big and beautiful family. Today the only thing he thinks about is giving his whole heart to this team. And I work for that. I work so that Inter arrive in the best situation. We are in a great moment.”
