Armand Laurienté continues to be Lazio’s primary transfer target this summer, despite the lack of progress in negotiations. The Italian club has been eyeing the Sassuolo winger for some time, and talks are reportedly picking up after a brief lull.
Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Sassuolo value Laurienté at €15 million plus €1 million in bonuses. Lazio have already made an offer of €10-11 million, leaving a relatively small gap to bridge. To further discussions, a meeting between the two clubs is scheduled for tomorrow.
The financial agreement with the player is not expected to be an issue. Lazio is prepared to offer Laurienté a contract worth approximately €1.5 million per season plus bonuses.
While the transfer may not be completed immediately, Lazio’s interest in Laurienté remains strong. The club appreciates his versatility, as he can play on both wings with his inverted foot, fitting well into their tactical setup.
Meanwhile, the rumored interest in James Rodriguez appears to be nothing more than speculation at this point. Although some intermediaries have proposed the Colombian playmaker, Lazio has not pursued the matter further.
The rest of Lazio’s transfer activity will largely depend on potential departures. Notably, even Danilo Cataldi, once considered untouchable, may be available for transfer if the right offer comes in.
