Kvaratskhelia Close To Completing PSG Move

Start

The transfer market is heating up for Paris Saint-Germain, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s move from Napoli nearing completion. The Georgian winger has become a focal point of attention following Napoli’s coach Antonio Conte’s public acknowledgment of Kvaratskhelia’s desire to leave Serie A for PSG, where he would join the ranks of coach Luis Enrique.

Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with PSG reportedly in constant contact with Napoli to finalize the deal. Kvaratskhelia’s representatives have already reached an agreement with PSG for a lucrative contract worth €9 million per year, plus bonuses.

According to reports from Calciomercato, there is a strong mutual interest in resolving the transfer quickly, as both PSG and the player are eager to finalize the arrangement. This urgency is particularly relevant given PSG’s upcoming critical matches in the Champions League, where they face potential elimination. Additionally, this swift resolution would aid Napoli in identifying a suitable replacement for Kvaratskhelia.

The financial aspects of the deal appear to be in flux, with Napoli initially demanding €80 million while PSG’s first offer was around €45 million. However, it seems both parties are working towards a compromise that could see a fixed fee of approximately €65 million, which could rise to €80 million with performance-related bonuses.

Kvaratskhelia’s current contract with Napoli runs until June 2027, where he earns around €1.8 million annually. His impressive performances since joining Napoli have made him one of Serie A’s standout players, contributing significantly to their recent success.

As the transfer saga unfolds, Antonio Conte expressed his disappointment regarding Kvaratskhelia’s situation: “I am disappointed, but not with the player or my club. My disappointment stems from not being able to influence changes in these six months.” He acknowledged that Kvaratskhelia was not alone in wanting a transfer and reflected on his efforts to retain key players for his project.

With the clock ticking down on this potential transfer, it is anticipated that an agreement could be reached within the next 72 hours.
