Teun Koopmeiners has expressed his delight at joining Juventus, describing the move as a dream come true. The Dutch midfielder, who recently completed his transfer from Atalanta, shared his thoughts in his first interview as a Bianconeri player.
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time,” Koopmeiners stated, barely containing his excitement. He went on to explain his decision to join Juventus, citing the club’s importance in Italian football, its rich history, and the quality of players in the squad.
Koopmeiners revealed that he had already spoken with manager Thiago, discussing the team’s playing style. “We talked about how we play, how we attack. It’s important for Juventus; we want to play securely in defense, but we also want to attack. For the fans. For everyone.”

When asked about his characteristics, Koopmeiners emphasized his desire to contribute in all areas of the game. “I like to score goals for the team, but also provide assists. I want to give everything for the team, including in defense. I want to run, play with energy. For all the players, the club, fans, and manager.”
Koopmeiners will wear the number 8 shirt at Juventus, a number he describes as “very special” to him. “I played with 8 when I was young, also at my first club. At Juventus, it’s an important number for me.”
