Kim Min-Jae has reached agreement with Bayern

Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae is set to complete his move to Bayern Munich after agreeing personal terms with the Bundesliga champions. The South Korean international has been the subject of sustained interest from the German side, who are reportedly prepared to pay the release clause in his contract.

Fabrizio Romano now reports that Kim is set to sign a five-year contract with the Bavarians, who will pay the reported €55 million clause to sign the centre-back.

The 26-year-old has been of strong interest to Manchester United, with some reports going as far as claiming he had already purchased a house in England ahead of his move.

Kim was one of the lynchpins of Napoli’s Scudetto success last season, playing 45 games across all competitions on the way to the Serie A title, the club’s first in 33 years.

The sale will represent a significant profit for Napoli, who signed the defender from Fenerbahce last summer for just €18 million.
