Roma outcast Rick Karsdorp is expected to be reintegrated into the team in the coming weeks after the Giallorossi failed to find a suitable buyer for him. The Dutchman was placed on the transfer list following a public falling out with coach Jose Mourinho last year, and was expected to leave Rome before the January transfer window closed this week.
Corriere dello Sport report that there have been offers for the player, but only from Serie A sides, and as such, Roma are more likely to keep the player for the moment as his entourage are unlikely to organise a move in the next two days.
The report claims Karsdop could end up being reintegrated with the rest of the team, which follows on from Mourinho’s pre-match comments that confirmed the player hasn’t been excluded from group activities, and the decision to return to the pitch with Roma is entirely his.
There’s also an expectation that the player apologises to the coach, staff and his teammates in order to return to the squad.
