Pierre Kalulu, Juventus’ French defender, has opened up about his early experiences with the club in a recent interview with Sky Sport. Despite facing a challenging schedule, Kalulu remains optimistic about the team’s progress and his personal development.
“These are tough weeks with many games to play, but we’re still at the beginning,” Kalulu stated. “The team is very focused on the work and is training to become stronger.”
The defender highlighted the importance of collective effort in maintaining a solid defense: “A defense that doesn’t concede goals is always a positive aspect, but at this level, it’s the work of the entire group, starting from the striker.”
Kalulu expressed his comfort within the Juventus setup, crediting his recent performances to hard work and growing confidence. “I felt good right away here at Juventus. With the work I’ve done, I’ve felt confident in the recent matches. We’re athletes; you always have to be ready on the field to wear the Juventus shirt.”
When asked about his playing time, Kalulu emphasized his focus on personal improvement rather than external opinions: “I listen little to what is said. I’m someone who works hard on the field and on myself. Time demonstrates what you do.”
The French defender had high praise for manager Thiago Motta’s approach: “Thiago Motta manages to give confidence to everyone and freedom in the game. This way, you feel very comfortable. He only asks me to play good football. We do it for ourselves and for the fans; we must make them satisfied with our performances.”
Looking ahead to the season’s challenges, Kalulu acknowledged the long road ahead: “The season is like a long road, and we’ve had many new signings. Between the Champions League and the league, the matches are always difficult. Each game has its own story, and we must be ready to respond by winning.”
