A series of defensive transfers within Serie A appears to be taking shape, with Pierre Kalulu potentially moving from AC Milan to Juventus, which could in turn lead to Tiago Djaló joining Roma on loan.
Calciomercato report how Kalulu, who was initially hesitant about the move due to concerns over playing time, is now reportedly open to the transfer and in negotiations with Juventus. The proposed deal would see Kalulu join the Turin club on loan for €3.5 million, with an option to buy set at €14 million plus €3 million in add-ons. Milan would also retain a 10% sell-on clause.
Should this transfer materialize, it could set off a chain reaction. Juventus may then loan out Portuguese defender Tiago Djaló to Roma, with an option to buy priced at €5 million. This move would mirror Roma’s January 2024 acquisition of Dean Huijsen, providing Djaló with valuable Serie A experience while bolstering Roma’s defensive options.
