Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo has stirred up debate with his recent comments about Juventus’ potential under Antonio Conte’s leadership. The discussion was sparked by a DAZN poll asking viewers where Juventus would be with Conte at the helm.
The poll results revealed diverse opinions among fans: 33% believed Juventus would be leading Serie A, 41% thought they would be in contention for the Scudetto, and 17% placed them in the Champions League zone.
Parolo weighed in on the debate, stating, “In my opinion, they would be fighting for the Scudetto, perhaps even leading the table.”
However, former national team striker Luca Toni offered a more measured view: “Conte makes an impact and could have earned a few more points than Thiago Motta, but two years ago Napoli won the Scudetto. The team needed motivation, and Conte is perfect for making it perform at its best immediately.”
The discussion comes in the wake of Napoli’s 2-1 comeback victory against Juventus in their recent head-to-head clash at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. This win has solidified Conte’s Napoli at the top of the table with 53 points, a substantial 16 points ahead of Thiago Motta’s Juventus, who currently sit fifth with 37 points after 22 league matches.
