Juventus working on new contracts for Szczesny and Kean

Start

Juventus are working to extend the contracts of two more players before the end of the season, namely Wojciech Szczesny and Moise Kean. Having agreed new deals for the likes of Federico Gatti, Manuel Locatelli, Nicolo Fagioli and Bremer, the Bianconeri are now looking to tie down other members of the squad to long term deals.

Tuttosport report that Szczesny and Kean are next on the list, with the Polish international’s contract due to expire in 2025. Szczesny currently earns €6.5 million net per season, a figure that Juventus intend to lower, going to around €4.5 or 5 million.

For his part, Szczesny is doing well in Turin and has also rejected offers from Saudi Arabia, opting to remain in black and white for now.

The issue will probably be discussed again in March while talks could even begin earlier for Kean, who also has an expiring contract in 2025, but a longer extension between 2027 and 2028 is expected for him.

A contract renewal that would allow the Bianconeri to amortize the weight of his price tag on their budget.

Veteran centre-back Daniele Rugani is also expected to renew his deal and lower his salary to remain in Turin until at least 2026.
