Juventus are looking for a new centre-back to replace Matthijs De Ligt and are considering Arsenal’s Brazilian defender Gabriel. The Bianconeri are in talks with Chelsea over a potential transfer for De Ligt and have identified a number of options.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juve are already looking for a left-footed centre-back to replace Giorgio Chiellini and have identified Gabriel Magalhães as their main target to fill the role of both De Ligt and Chiellini.
Alongside the Brazilian, Juve continue to have an interest in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly while Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund and Benoît Badiashile from Monaco are alternatives if Koulibaly and Gabriel are unavailable.
Gazzetta suggest that for the moment, Gabriel is not on the market, however the return of William Saliba from his loan spell at Marseille and Arsneal’s interest in Lisandro Martinez could prompt a sale.
The 24-year-old would cost Juventus at least €40m and his salary of €2.6m per season could be improved by the Bianconeri, thanks to the Growth Decree.
