Juventus will not meet Adrien Rabiot’s increased salary demands and will look to replace him with Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Frenchman was close to leaving Turin in the summer when he was linked with a move to Manchester United but the transfer failed due to his salary demands.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport (Via JuventusNews24) report that the Bianconeri were previously keen to renew Rabiot’s contract and extend his stay, but they are not prepared to meet his €10m a year salary request.
As such, Juve have reportedly met with Mateja Kezman, Milinkovic Savics’ agent, in recent days with a view to agreeing terms with the Serbian midfielder ahead of the summer. The Old Lady are expected to make a firm push to sign him next year, given that his contract with Lazio ends in June 2024.
Milinkovic-Savic has spent the last 8 seasons in the capital with Lazio, scoring 63 goals in 313 appearances for the Biancocelesti.
