Juventus want Samardzic on loan

Start

Juventus are reportedly eyeing up Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic and would like to take him on loan this winter. The Bianconeri are set to lose Nicolo Fagioli for seven months after his disqualification for illegal gambling was confirmed by the FIGC yesterday.

Juve are also currently without Paul Pogba who faces a potentially career ending doping ban following his positive test after Juve’s win over Udinese earlier this year.

Calciomercato report that ‘Samardzic is the name Juve want to work on’ ahead of the reopening of the winter transfer window. Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli would like to take the talented Serbian on loan from Udinese for around €4 million with the right to sign him outright becoming an obligation, if certain conditions are met.

Samardzic was close to joining Inter earlier this year, only for the deal to collapse at the last minute due to disagreements over personal terms.
