Juventus to confirm Adrien Rabiot departure

Start

Adrien Rabiot’s departure from Juventus is now confirmed, bringing an end to his five-year tenure with the Italian giants. The French midfielder’s time in Turin has been marked by 212 appearances, 22 goals, and several major trophies, including one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia victories, and one Supercoppa Italiana.

Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expired on July 1st, and following the club’s Coppa Italia triumph over Atalanta, the player ceased all communication with the management. Despite efforts from Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli to negotiate a new deal, even with reduced terms, Rabiot remained unresponsive.

The decision to leave Juventus has been finalized, with an official announcement expected on Thursday. This announcement is likely to coincide with the press conference introducing new head coach Thiago Motta, where Giuntoli is also scheduled to speak.

As Rabiot enters free agency, speculation about his next destination has begun. The midfielder’s salary demands are expected to start at €7 million net per season, his previous wage at Juventus. Several clubs have been linked with the 29-year-old:

Inter Milan has shown interest, although they’ve already secured Piotr Zielinski on a free transfer. AC Milan is exploring midfield reinforcements, including Youssouf Fofana and Lazar Samardzic. Real Madrid briefly entered the conversation following Toni Kroos’ retirement, but their focus seems to be elsewhere. A return to Paris Saint-Germain remains a possibility, though not Rabiot’s primary choice. Premier League clubs are considered Rabiot’s preferred destination due to potential wages and project appeal. Napoli, under new manager Antonio Conte, has also emerged as a potential suitor.
