Juventus struggles in attack: A look at market options from Raspadori to Zirkzee

Start

Juventus, under the management of Thiago Motta, have become synonymous with goalless draws this season, recently recording their fifth 0-0 result against Aston Villa. This follows similar stalemates against Roma, Empoli, Napoli, and Milan. In total, the team has failed to score in six out of 18 matches played this season. In stark contrast, during the previous season with Massimiliano Allegri at the helm, Juventus managed to find the net in all but one match.

Calciomercato report how In recent weeks, Motta has faced challenges in his attacking lineup, particularly with the absence of Dusan Vlahovic, who is recovering from injury ahead of their upcoming match against Lecce. Arkadiusz Milik, another key striker, is also sidelined and is expected to return only around late December or early January. As the January transfer window approaches, Juventus is prioritizing defensive reinforcements but remains open to opportunities to bolster their attacking options as well.

One player on Juventus’s radar is Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli. The young forward has expressed a desire for more playing time and has hinted that he might consider a move to another club to achieve that goal. However, acquiring Raspadori could prove challenging for Juventus due to Napoli’s reluctance to strengthen a direct rival in Serie A.

In addition to Raspadori, Juventus are monitoring other potential targets. Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese is being considered domestically, while Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United remains a favored option from abroad. Zirkzee previously thrived under Motta during his time at Bologna but has struggled to find form since his transfer to Manchester United.
