Juventus shift focus after missing out on Todibo

Start

Juventus has faced a setback in their transfer plans as Jean-Clair Todibo opted for a move to West Ham United. The French defender from Nice agreed to join the Premier League club on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, totaling €40 million. This decision leaves Juventus searching for alternative defensive options.

Calciomercato report how with Todibo off the table, Juventus are now eyeing Jakub Kiwior as a potential target. Kiwior, a Polish international currently under contract with Arsenal until 2028, is familiar to coach Thiago Motta from their time together at Spezia. However, Juventus will need to compete with Inter Milan, who are also interested in the defender.

Another option for Juventus is Mario Hermoso, who recently left Atletico Madrid as a free agent. Although Hermoso is in talks to play in Saudi Arabia, he has yet to sign with any club, making him a viable candidate for Juventus.

Clement Lenglet is also on Juventus’ radar. The French defender, who returned to Barcelona after a loan spell at Aston Villa, is available for another loan move. Atletico Madrid and Villarreal are also reportedly interested in Lenglet.

Juventus is considering Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg as well. The French defender, born in 2000, has attracted interest from several clubs, including Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Nice, who are looking to replace Todibo.

Lastly, Josip Sutalo of Ajax has emerged as a new name in Juventus’ search for a defender. The Croatian has been linked with Bologna, but Juventus could enter the race, especially as Ajax is negotiating for Juventus’ Daniele Rugani. As the transfer window progresses, Juventus will need to act swiftly to secure the defensive reinforcements they seek.
