Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca di Marzio reports that Juventus are among the clubs interested in Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
According to the report, the Bianconeri have begun moves to try acquire the Dutch forward and contacts have been established with Bayern Munich to explore the possibility of the German club exercising their buy-back clause on the player, which exclusively lies within their jurisdiction. Should Bayern opt against reacquiring Zirkzee, Juventus stand ready to negotiate with the Germans for his transfer.
However, Juventus face stiff competition in their pursuit of Zirkzee. The interest isn’t confined to Bayern Munich; Arsenal are also in the mix, reportedly prepared to offer an annual salary of €6 million to the promising forward. Additionally, in Italy, Milan loom large as a potential contender, poised to bolster their frontline with a new starting striker come summer.
Juventus’ ambitions don’t end with Zirkzee. As previously reported during the last winter transfer window, the Bianconeri maintain a strong interest in Riccardo Calafiori, a defender who has excelled since transitioning from a wide role to a central defensive position.
This strategic move was inspired by Thiago Motta, the current head coach of Bologna. Both Zirkzee and Calafiori are highly regarded by Motta, making them prime targets for Juventus, particularly if the club decides to part ways with Max Allegri at the end of the season.
