Juventus renew Interest in Napoli’s Raspadori for January

Start

Juventus are reportedly rekindling their interest in Giacomo Raspadori, the 24-year-old striker from Napoli and Italian national team, as they look to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window. According to reports from Calciomercato, while Raspadori hasn’t officially requested a transfer from Napoli, he is keen on securing more playing time to maintain his position in the national team.

The Turin giants are considering an offer that could provide Raspadori with more opportunities on the pitch, given their current attacking lineup consists primarily of Dusan Vlahovic as the sole out-and-out striker, with Arkadiusz Milik sidelined due to a long-term injury. Juventus’ potential offer is rumored to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy, contingent on certain conditions being met.

This isn’t the first time Juventus has shown interest in Raspadori. During the closing stages of the summer transfer window, the Bianconeri had already made initial inquiries about the player. Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is particularly fond of Raspadori, having been instrumental in bringing the young striker to Napoli from Sassuolo in 2022 for a loan fee of 5 million euros, with a mandatory purchase clause of 25 million euros.

Since joining Napoli, Raspadori has made 86 appearances, scoring 12 goals, and was part of the squad that clinched the Serie A title in 2023. His versatility and potential make him an attractive prospect for Juventus as they look to diversify their attacking options and challenge for silverware this season.

The potential move could benefit all parties involved, with Raspadori gaining more playing time, Juventus strengthening their squad, and Napoli potentially recouping their investment. However, negotiations are likely to be complex, given Raspadori’s importance to Napoli and the rivalry between the two clubs.
