Juventus ready to move for Vicario

Start

Juventus are ready to make a January move for Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the hopes of beating Roma and Tottenham to his signing. The Bianconeri are preparing for life after Wojciech Szczęsny and want to invest in a new goalkeeper before Polish international’s contract ends in June 2024.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juve are set to move for Vicario in the upcoming transfer window following the 26-year-old’s impressive displays for Empoli this season.

Gazzetta also suggest Juve will sign the keeper outright in January and leave him on loan until at least next summer as they look to anticipate the interest of both Roma and Spurs, who have also been following the Italian goalkeeper.

Vicario has made 15 Serie A appearances this season, keeping five clean sheets and conceding 19 goals in that time.
