Juventus are interested in Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho, 18, has yet to agree a new contract at Old Trafford with negotiations ongoing. The winger’s current £7,000 per week deal expires in June 2024 but holds a one-year automatic extension clause.
According to Miguel Delaney of The Independent, Juventus and Real Madrid are monitoring Garnacho’s contract situation.
The youngster’s representatives have reportedly rejected a £20,000 per week offer.
Juventus were rumoured to be an interested party as early as October. This alleged interest from major European suitors has led United to instigate renewal talks.
Masimiliano Allegri is eager to refreshen his ageing squad, highlighted by the consistent inclusion of youngsters Nicolò Fagioli and Fabio Miretti in the first team this season.
Garnacho has been in electric form since breaking into United’s team under Erik ten Hag, scoring twice and providing five assists across all competitions. The 18-year-old is expected to be called up to Argentina’s senior team in March by Lionel Scaloni.
Whilst Madrid also lurk in the waters around the Old Trafford boardroom alongside Juventus, Delaney’s sources insist that talks between United and Garnacho’s representatives remain “positive”.
