Juventus look to Ndicka and Gvardiol

Start

Juventus are working on reinforcing their ageing back line with Evan Ndicka and Joško Gvardiol on their list of targets. The Bianconeri have been reliant on Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci for close to a decade and with Bonucci set to enter the last year of his contract next summer, they are in need of fresh legs in the centre-back positions.

Tuttosport report that Juventus will observe Gvardiol when features for Croatia at the World Cup, but they won’t be the only ones, with many teams keen on the 20-year-old, with Chelsea and Spurs also keen on  him.

Another option is 23-year-old Evan Ndicka whose contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is due to expire in June 2023. Again, there are a number of clubs closely following the players’ situation, including Serie A rivals Inter and Roma. Juve could look to anticipate competition from their rivals by agreeing terms with the player in January, using their good relations with Frankfurt having completed deals for Filip Kostic and Luca Pellegrini.

Juve are also banking on Dusan Vlahovic and Filip Kostic to use a charm offensive with Strahinja Pavlovic who is set to make his debut at the World Cup with Serbia.

Spezia’s Jacob Kiwior and Fiorentina’s Igor are also on the list for potential defensive signings.
