Juventus are considering making a move for Monza full-back Carlos Augusto as a long-term replacement for Alex Sandro. The Brazilian veteran is set to leave the Bianconeri this summer when his contract ends as Juve have decided against offering him a contract renewal.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Augusto has caught the eye of Juventus, given his fine performances for Monza this season, and coach Max Allegri is an admirer of the 24-year-old.
Augusto has already racked up 4 goals and 3 assists in 20 appearances so far this season and is being eyed by a number of Serie A sides.
Gazzetta suggest Juventus could steal a march on the opposition as relations between them and Monza are excellent, following successful loan deals for Nicola Rovella and Filippo Ranocchia.
Augusto has a contract with Monza until 2024 but Juve could make a move for him this summer as they look to rejuvenate their back line.
