Juventus have reportedly set their sights on acquiring Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina once his loan spell at Manchester United concludes.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, it’s highly likely that Amrabat will return to Fiorentina at the end of the season as his loan stint with Manchester United nears its end. There’s a prevailing sentiment that the Moroccan midfielder ‘misses’ Italy, hinting at a potential move back to Serie A. Moreover, Manchester United doesn’t seem keen on making Amrabat’s move permanent. With his contract at Fiorentina set to expire in the summer of 2025, the Italian club is expected to entertain offers for him.
While Juventus explored the possibility of signing Amrabat last summer, negotiations didn’t progress significantly. However, the relationship between Juventus and Fiorentina remains robust, exemplified by the successful loan deal involving Arthur. Amrabat is reportedly a long-standing target of Juventus’s Sporting Director, Cristiano Guintoli.
Although Teun Koopmeiners is Juventus’s primary midfield target, uncertainties surrounding the futures of Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie have prompted the Bianconeri to consider additional midfield reinforcements. Should the need arise, Amrabat is reportedly a viable option for Juventus.
