Juventus continue to pursue Porto winger Galeno as they look to strengthen their attacking options for new manager Thiago Motta. With Matias Soulé’s departure to Roma and Federico Chiesa’s future uncertain, reinforcing the wide positions has become a priority for the Bianconeri.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via IlBianconero) report that while Juventus made an attempt to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, the German club’s high asking price of €45-50 million has complicated that deal. This has led Juventus to explore alternative options, including Fiorentina’s Nico Gonzalez, though that move would likely require including players like McKennie or Kostic as part of the transfer.
Galeno remains Thiago Motta’s preferred target, and negotiations with Porto are ongoing. The Portuguese club is reportedly seeking around 30 million euros plus bonuses for the Brazilian winger. Juventus is considering various ways to structure the deal, including the possibility of sending defender Tiago Djaló to Porto either on loan or permanently to reduce the cash outlay.
Porto’s Francisco Conceição is another option being considered, with a similar valuation to Galeno. However, Galeno appears to be the priority target for Juventus at this stage.
