As the January transfer window enters its final week, Juventus are working on both incoming and outgoing transfers. While the club has already secured Alberto Costa and Kolo Muani, with Renato Veiga expected to arrive soon, they are also looking to bolster their defence, with Newcastle’s Kelly emerging as a top target.
Calciomercato report that, simultaneously, Juventus are exploring options to generate funds through player sales. Nicolò Fagioli has emerged as a potential candidate for departure, having fallen down the midfield pecking order since Thiago Motta’s arrival as manager.
Marseille, under the guidance of Roberto De Zerbi, have shown strong interest in Fagioli. The French club have been monitoring the situation closely and is preparing to submit an official offer to Juventus. The Turin giants are seeking a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy, valuing the deal at around 15-18 million euros, excluding bonuses. Juventus is not interested in a dry loan or a loan with an option to buy.
Fagioli isn’t the only midfielder who could leave Juventus this window. The club continues to seek a new destination for Arthur Melo, while Douglas Luiz’s situation remains fluid despite Giuntoli’s public stance against his departure. Premier League clubs, particularly Manchester City and Chelsea, are increasing their interest in Luiz. City discussed the player during negotiations for Cambiaso, while Chelsea is considering a loan move, though this format doesn’t appeal to Juventus.
Arthur Melo continues to attract interest from Real Betis and Everton, with new contacts expected in the coming days. As the transfer deadline approaches, Juventus are poised to make significant moves in both directions, potentially reshaping their squad for the second half of the season.
