Juventus Expected to Negotiate Pogba Contract Termination

Start

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are set to save over €30 million with the early departure of French midfielder Paul Pogba. The Frenchman has seen has his four-year doping ban upheld by Italy’s anti-doping tribunal, but has confirmed his intention to appeal the decision via the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.

Pogba has been earning a minimum salary of €2000 a month in the wake of his failed drug test, which dates back to the opening game of the season.

According to Gazzetta (via Juventusnews24), negotiations for the termination of his contract, which expires in 2026, with the Frenchman’s entourage are expected to take place soon.

This significant saving of around €30 million presents Juventus with the opportunity to invest in a midfield replacement during the upcoming transfer window.

Pogba’s departure will not only free up funds but also pave the way for new signings as Juventus looks to bolster its squad for future challenges.
