Juventus have informed captain Leonardo Bonucci that he is not part of the club’s plans for the new season. The 35-year-old veteran still has a year left on his contract with the Bianconeri, but the club have now told the Italy international that he will not play in the new campaign.
Goal Italia, Sky Sport Italia and others report that Bonucci has been informed of the decision by club directors Giovanni Manna and Cristiano Giuntoli. The reports claim that the Juve captain was told he is out of the squad for technical reasons.
The same also applies to midfielder Weston McKennie, who is expected to be sold this summer.
Juventus will leave both players in Italy when they depart for their tour of the USA later this month.
