Juventus are reportedly ready to finalize their pursuit of Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, a target they’ve been tracking since mid-January. The Dutch international has been identified as a priority signing for the Bianconeri’s midfield and attacking midfield positions.
According to Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Juventus have already reached a personal agreement with Koopmeiners, offering him a contract worth €4.5 million per season. Despite recent interest from newly appointed Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who knows the player well, Koopmeiners remains committed to joining Juventus.
Atalanta are said to be seeking at least €50 million plus bonuses for the 26-year-old. Juventus are now accelerating their efforts to raise funds through player sales to meet this valuation. The Turin club is eager to secure Koopmeiners for new manager Thiago Motta, as they look to strengthen their midfield alongside other targets like Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram.
While Atalanta are generally not interested in including players as part of the deal, there is reported interest in Juventus defender Daniele Rugani. This could potentially be explored as a way to reduce the cash outlay for Koopmeiners.
