Juventus Close to Sealing Danso Deal, Awaiting Final Approval from Lens

Start

Juventus and Lens are in the final stages of negotiations for the transfer of French defender Kevin Danso. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that talks between the two clubs continued through the night of Thursday, January 30, and into Friday, January 31, as they work to finalize the details of the move.

While an agreement is close, Lens have yet to give their final approval to the transfer. The main point of discussion overnight cantered around the inclusion of a purchase option for Juventus. The proposed deal would see Danso join the Bianconeri on loan with an option to buy set at €25 million, plus an additional €2 million in bonuses tied to certain objectives.

Juventus are optimistic about closing the deal on Friday, January 31. Their position is strengthened by the fact that their main competitor for Danso’s signature, Rennes, has shifted their focus to Brassier as their defensive reinforcement.
