The Portuguese winger had been forced to withdraw from the starting lineup just before the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final against Milan in Riyadh due to discomfort in his right leg flexor.
The tests, which lasted just over half an hour, have confirmed the initial diagnosis: there are no lesions to the muscle. This news comes as a relief to the Bianconeri, who were anxious about the extent of Conceiçao’s injury after he left the field in tears before the match against his father Sergio’s Milan side.
Juventus will now monitor Conceiçao’s condition day by day to determine if he can recover in time for the upcoming Turin derby against Torino. The club faces a packed schedule in the coming weeks, with crucial matches in Serie A, including encounters with Atalanta, Milan, and Napoli, as well as important Champions League fixtures against Club Brugge and Benfica.
The 22-year-old winger’s availability is particularly significant given the team’s recent setback in the Supercoppa. Coach Thiago Motta had initially selected Conceiçao to start against Milan, but the last-minute change saw Kenan Yildiz step in as a replacement.
