Juventus boosted by return of Thuram, Weah, and Adzic ahead of Empoli clash

Start

Juventus have  received a significant boost ahead of their upcoming Serie A fixture against Empoli, with key players Khephren Thuram and Timothy Weah returning to full training. The duo participated in today’s session, just three days before the team’s away match on Saturday.

Thuram and Weah, who have been sidelined due to injuries, are now back in contention for selection, although they are likely to start on the bench. Their return strengthens manager Thiago Motta’s options and adds depth to the squad at a crucial point in the season.

In addition to Thuram and Weah, another player recovering from a muscular injury, Vasilije Adzic, is also expected to be available for the Empoli game. Like his teammates, Adzic is anticipated to be among the substitutes.

The midfield is set to see some consistency with Manuel Locatelli retaining his place. Fans might also witness the potential debuts of new signings Douglas Luiz and Teun Koopmeiners in the starting lineup, adding fresh energy to the team’s core.

However, the Bianconeri will still be without Francisco Conceiçao and Arkadiusz Milik, who remain sidelined due to injuries. Additionally, several South American internationals were absent from today’s training session following their involvement in overnight matches. Nico Gonzalez, who scored in Argentina’s defeat to Colombia, Juan Cabal, who made a late appearance, and Danilo, who played the full 90 minutes in Brazil’s loss to Paraguay, are yet to rejoin the squad.
