Juventus and Fiorentina set for talks over Moise Kean transfer

Start

Moise Kean’s future at Juventus appears to be nearing its end, with Fiorentina emerging as a potential destination for the Italian striker. Fiorentina’s sporting director, Daniele Pradé, is scheduled to meet with Kean’s representatives today to discuss a possible move.

Calciomercato report how Kean, who has previously played for Verona, Everton, and Paris Saint-Germain, is under contract with Juventus until 2025, earning approximately €2.5 million net per season. However, he does not feature in new manager Thiago Motta’s plans, and Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli views him as a sellable asset to generate funds.

Juventus is reportedly asking €15 million for Kean’s transfer. This figure comes after the club paid Everton €28 million to make Kean’s loan permanent in March 2023, following a two-year loan deal that cost €7 million. In total, Juventus has invested around €35 million plus €3 million in bonuses for the player.

Fiorentina, however, is reluctant to meet Juventus’ asking price and is not willing to go beyond €10 million for the 24-year-old striker. The Florence-based club is also considering other attacking options, including Retegui from Genoa, Sorloth from Villarreal, Lucca from Udinese, and Vitor Roque from Barcelona.

Kean’s 2023-24 season was disappointing, with the striker failing to score in 20 appearances across all competitions. A potential January move to Atletico Madrid fell through due to an injury setback.
