Juventus played out a six-goal thriller against Atalanta with Ademola Lookman stealing the show, scoring two goals and setting up a third.
Juventus
Tek: Dreadful on the opening goal, shouldn’t have been beaten from that position. Let down by his defenders on the equaliser and the third goal. 4.5/10
Danilo: Did a decent enough job to keep Hojlund quiet in the first half and scored the equaliser with a brilliantly worked free-kick. 6.5/10
Bremer: Started well with some good tackles and very dominant in the air but was all too easily pulled out of position by the trickery of the Atalanta front line. 6.0/10
Sandro: Up against it with Lookman marauding down the flank and running right at him but he was a ghost at times. A very poor showing. 4.0/10
McKennie: Played a great ball for Rabiot that Juve should have done better with but he was up against it when trying to contain Boga. 5.5/10
Fagioli: Incredible contribution, won the penalty for the first goal and fired in the cross for the second. A real threat today. 7.0/10
Locatelli: Tough start but he settled into the game slowly and started to have a better run of the midfield as things progressed. 6.0/10
Rabiot: Made some positive runs into the Atalanta box but he was wasteful when presented with good chances. 5.5/10
Kostic: A few shots from range but relatively quiet in the first ’45 and pretty ineffectual in the second as well. Very poor. 4.5/10
Di Maria: The brightest of the Juve front line in the early part of the game and tested Musso from range with a half chance. A wonderfully converted penalty to draw Juve level and he played his part in the equaliser too. Excellent. 8.0/10
Milik: Took his goal with a perfect finish as the ball came in at speed and his movement on and off the ball was superb. 7.0/10
Substitutions:
Chiesa: A direct threat as soon as he came on. 6.0/10
Kean: N/A
Miretti: N/A
Cuadrado: N/A
Atalanta:
Musso: Straight forward saves to deny Di Maria at the start of the game, could do nothing on the penalty and the speed of Milik’s finish was always going to beat him. Left stranded on the Juve free-kick 5.5/10
Toloi: The weak link in the Atalanta back-line, had a tough night of it against Di Maria. Conceded the free-kick from which Juve scored their third but also forced a save as well. 5.5/10
Palomino: Only lasted 15 minutes before coming off. N/A
Scalvini: The best of the Atalanta back three, very composed for his age and did well, despite having a tough night of it. 6.0/10
Hateboer: Helped stretch the Juve midfield by pushing down the flanks. 6.5/10
De Roon: Good work rate, constantly tracking back and making it difficult for Juve to impose themselves in the midfield battle. 6.0/10
Ederson: Excellent start, piling on pressure to keep Juve from creating anything. Careless tackle to concede the Juve penalty and was reckless in his tackles overall. 6.0/10
Maehle: Perfectly timed run to latch onto Lookman’s pass and draw things level, a clinical finish. 6.5/10
Boga: Started at 100mph and played the perfect pass to set up the opening goal. Direct running throughout the game and his cross for the third was excellent. Exceptional. 7.5/10
Lookman: The man of the match, many times over. Perfect run into the box to fire past Szczesny at the near post on the opening goal and played a defence-splitting pass to set up the second. A wonderful header for Atalanta’s third. He was unplayable and tore the Juve defence to pieces. 8.5/10
Hojlund: Put a good headed effort just wide in the first exchanges and made some really good plays to link up with the other attackers. 5.5/10
Substitutions:
Demiral: A little risky at the back but saw out the game well enough. 6.0/10
Pasalic: 5.5/10
Muriel: N/A
Djimsiti: N/A
Ruggeri: N/A
