Torino coach Ivan Juric thanked Fiorentina’s Vincenzo Italiano and Daniel Prade: “They understood that my reactions were fueled by pure passion”. The Granata boss was involved in an angry altercation with both men following Torino’s 0-0 draw with Fiorentina last weekend. Juric appeared on camera with Italiano after the incident and had seemingly made amends, but he will still be banned for Torino’s match against Napoli this weekend. Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, he thanked the Fiorentina men for their behaviour after the incident:
“I thank Italiano and Pradé. They have been kind to me, understanding that my reactions were fueled by pure passion, not malice. They know who I am. There is a lesson to be learned and moments like these must be managed. The suspension seems generous to me for that reason.”
Following his acknowledgment of the suspension, Juric shifted his focus towards the team’s performance, noting, “We only lack results to give a positive assessment. The team, after such a start, has reached a very high level of performance. To be satisfied, we should have achieved the result.”
Furthermore, Juric touched upon the aspirations for European competition, stating, “The performances are at a high level; we haven’t achieved results due to some outcomes. We need to do something special. When you play like this, you have an obligation not to give up and to believe. We aim to eliminate errors; sooner or later, our fortunes will turn.”
