Former Roma boss Jose Mourinho is poised to take the helm at Turkish giants Fenerbahce, with the move expected to be finalized soon. Despite recent links to Saudi Arabian clubs following his exit from Roma, Mourinho’s future now appears to lie in Turkey.
Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that Mourinho is set to join Fenerbahce, having agreed to a two-year contract with the club.
Fenerbahce’s sporting director, Mario Branco, played a crucial role in facilitating the move. The official announcement from the Turkish club is anticipated later today.
Mourinho’s tenure at Roma ended on a sour note, marked by frequent clashes with officials and disappointing results. He was subsequently replaced by Daniele De Rossi, who led the team on an unbeaten run and has since been appointed as the permanent manager.
