Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is one of Juventus’ main targets for the summer but he wants a €7m per season salary. The Bianconeri have been linked with the Azzurri star for a number of years and this could be the year they finally get their man.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Jorginho’s contract is set to expire next summer but he can’t negotiate a new deal due to the sanctions imposed on the Blue’s current owner, Roman Abramovich. Should the club change hands, Juve are ready to sit down and negotiate a sale in the coming weeks.
Talks between the players agent and Juve have already begun, however Jorginho has requested a €7m-a-year salary, putting him on level pegging with Dusan Vlahovic, Paulo Dybala, Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot.
According to Gazzetta, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has requested a deep-lying playmaker to add depth to the midfield and if Juve fail to get Jorginho, they’ll switch their focus to Paul Pogba and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
