Fiorentina head coach Vincenzo Italiano has spoken to the club’s official site ahead of their match against Serie A new boys Frosinone on Thursday. There was no official press conference scheduled, however, Italiano spoke about their recent outing against Udinese, injury news and on their opponents Frosinone:
“We need to score points now, we need to put hay on the farm to rise up the rankings and self-esteem. I liked the attitude in Udine and also the concreteness shown despite the suffering. Not having so many situations up front, we managed to break the deadlock and keep the result. However, I am satisfied above all because when we reach the last meters we fill the area with many men and they are decisive in the goal-zone. It means that we all participate in the attacking phase. I am convinced that goals from the attackers and wingers who have not yet scored will also arrive shortly.”
“Nico (Gonzalez)? He’s fine, he’s not 100%, then we’ll see how to use him. Regarding Dodò’s injury I say that I am very sorry. The overflowing Dodò was about to return, he gave us a lot on the pitch and also off it with his smiles and his attitude. We talked to him, we are convinced he will come back stronger than before.”
On Frosinone: “They are doing really well at the start of the season. They are proof that there are no simple games or opponents. They have great enthusiasm, the stadium will push very hard and they are a fearsome team, therefore they must be faced with maximum attention.
