Italiano: ‘Juve never die, that’s two points lost’

Start

Bologna head coach Vincenzo Italiano expressed his disappointment following his team’s 2-2 draw against Juventus, where they conceded a late equalizer. Speaking to DAZN after the match, Italiano shared his thoughts on the game and his team’s performance.

“We came extremely close to a spectacular victory based on what we showed on the pitch,” Italiano began. “We were punished for the little we conceded. Between a lack of clarity and fatigue, we couldn’t patch things up on the last ball. I see growth and great application from the team. I asked the boys for these kinds of performances, but these are two points thrown away.”

Italiano praised his squad’s dedication and potential for improvement: “This team is committed and eager to grow and mature. If we had a few more hours of training available, we could refine some aspects. The team is young and has room for improvement. Juventus never dies, and the little we conceded to them wasn’t enough to secure a victory.”

The Bologna manager also highlighted individual performances and areas for improvement: “Holm hadn’t played for a while and put in a great performance. I really liked Dominguez. I’m not happy because this is a game you have to win, by any means necessary. I’m pleased with the approach and the management of 2/3 of the game. On that last ball, we need to be smarter. The boys have a great desire to prove their worth.”
