Simone Inzaghi spoke with Inter TV journalists on Tuesday ahead of the Nerazzurri’s home match with Sassuolo. The Inter head coach knows that his team will need to be well-prepared for the game after the Neroverdi defeated Juventus 4-2 on Saturday.
Inzaghi also discussed how strong his side’s attack has been so far this term, the recent heavy schedule and opponents Sassuolo:
“This is the fourth match in ten days, with many players who have also had commitments with the national teams, who have made many trips and transfers, but I am fortunate to have a competitive squad. This afternoon’s training is still missing , then I’ll make my choices.”
On Sassuolo: “They come from an excellent match won against Juventus, they have an excellent coach, I know him, he gives great organization to the team. We will have to be good and determined to play an important match.”
On having one of the best attacks in Europe: “We create a lot, this is a fact: it’s been happening for a long time, even last season. We’re working a lot not only with the attackers, but with all the players we have, to be even more determined when we get close to the opponent’s area.”
“The data is important, clearly the whole team is working very well. When we talk about the offensive and defensive phase we have to think about the whole team: not just the defenders, but the whole team, including midfielders and attackers, is working as best as possible. We must continue to grow in both phases by putting a lot of motivation into every training session.”
