Inzaghi on Inter’s victory over Parma: “The only regret is the goal we conceded”

Start

Following Inter Milan’s 3-1 victory against Parma in Serie A, coach Simone Inzaghi shared his thoughts on the match and the team’s performance. The win marked a significant achievement for Inter, extending their unbeaten streak and keeping them in close contention for the league title.

Inzaghi began by praising his players, stating, “Aside from Thuram’s goal, the boys were very good. Parma had only lost to Napoli until today. We saw great goals today; Lautaro must continue to work as he has been. The only regret is having conceded that goal; we didn’t deserve it based on how we played throughout the 94 minutes.”

He also took a moment to highlight Nicolò Barella’s contributions, saying, “If I have to be honest, Nicolò is an extraordinary player. The year he had the fewest assists and goals was his best season since I’ve been coaching him. Correa is doing very well; he has returned to being the player we all know.”

Looking ahead, Inzaghi addressed the upcoming Club World Cup, expressing a determined mindset: “We will try to do our best. The first thought was to remember what these boys have accomplished over the last three and a half years.”
